Will Gilmer Guest Lecture

When Mr. Gilmer came to speak to us what I enjoyed the most out of his lecture would be his devotion to agriculture and the way he conducts his self.  Even if you did not know him like several of us in the class did not, you could still understand his compassion for what he was doing even if you did not relate or agree with his points.  I believe this makes a great person to be a Agvocate and use social media to do so.

Spring Break Plan?

I hope everyone remembers to check out the Collegiate Cattlmen's Club next semester.  We are planning a awesome Spring Break trip.  We plan on taking a tour of several opeations and aspects of the cattle business throughout southern Texas and Louisiana.  Hope that everyone will check us out.  It is going to be a great experience!

End of Another Semester

I hope that everyone has had a good semester! I wish you the best of luck with finals! Happy Holidays!

The club had a amazing time on our fall Saturday trip.  Our club would like to thank 7L Farms and Sedgewood Plantation for allowing us the opportunity to tour their operations.  Seeing their farms gave all of us insight to beef production as a business.

A exciting weekend is coming up for the MSU Collegiate Cattleman's Club.  We will be traveling to southern MS to visit two cattle operations.  We have this Saturday field day planned so that students that participate can see some our own producer's operations.  We will be visiting Sedgewood Plantation Saturday morning and 7L Land and Cattle Company Saturday afternoon. We are looking forward to a great trip!
